Maria Gross

Managing Director

Change (and her love for the city of Berlin) is the only constant in Maria’s life – that’s why she’s always challenging the status quo, developing new ideas and drawing her energy from the challenge. She started her career at Daimler, studied nonprofit management and traveled the world. Only to find out that what she was always looking for was a diverse field of work. After working for various accelerators and incubators and failing & learning with her own startups, she joined GERMANTECH. Maria also teaches Digital Entrepreneurship at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since 2019.

Michael Gröger

Managing Director

Michael has more than 10 years of experience in founding companies with innovative business models. In addition to his own entrepreneurial experience in the telecommunications sector, Michael was able to accompany the start-up and transformation of companies in the automotive and financial services industries. Since 2012, Michael has been active as a business angel. At GERMANTECH, Michael is responsible for the corporate innovation programs. In addition to a degree in business administration, Michael is a certified Financial Modeler.

Dritan Mulla

Director Technical Product Management

Loosely based on the motto ‘What’s the problem and is there a need?’, Dritan’s role as Director Product is responsible for Group Strategy, Innovation, and Digital Ecosystem Development. In this role, Dritan acts as the perfect link of internal and external innovation strategy. Via his experience in product development, it is easy for him to name the cornerstones that form a successful Strategy. The main task of Dritan is to validate ideas with our clients in the shortest possible time and on a small budget. To be more precise, from the preparation of the first workshop till Go-to-Market. Since 2004, Dritan has been professionally and privately involved with all methodologies and processes in B2B and B2C to identify the right target audience and place a product in the best possible way. In doing so, Dritan has been able to work from email marketing to apps, process optimization, Product and project-related. In teamwork with internal and external teams, he’s focused on team values. Because only with the right people and values corporate or strategic goals can be achieved sustainably.

Loes Bielars

Event Manager

As GERMANTECH’s Senior Event Manager, Loes is in charge of the GERMANTECH events and easily bridges the paths between start ups, corporations and academics. With a very divers background, she started her career in the Netherlands, organizing a variety of festivals & fairs and working on educational programs. From 2007 to 2015 she ran her own company, a Concept Store for fashion and design in Rotterdam and later Berlin. Here she hosted all the events the store offered brands, customers, partners and press. In 2015 she changed industries and worked as the Event and Restaurant Manager for two large, well none Berlin restaurants. Next to this she has worked numerous freelance assignments in concept development, styling and event & interior coordination.
Now Loes is running GERMANTECH’s programs, events and journeys while building up the GERMANTECH family around the globe.

Daniel Nguyen

Social Media & Communications Manager

Daniel is the creative soul of GERMANTECH. Since 2019, his distinct style has shaped the company’s appearance, brand development and overall corporate identity. 

In addition to designing complete campaigns for GERMANTECH and clients such as Union Investment and Credit Agricole, he also developed entire websites, from concept to implementation. With his profound knowledge in the field of online marketing, he conceives resounding campaigns and strategies for clients such as Volkswagen and thus contributes significantly to the implementation of new ideas. At home in the startup environment, he is always curious to learn and discover new things to leverage for GERMANTECH and its clients in the best way.

Michael Urbanz

Junior Marketing Manager

Michael is in the final spurt of his dual studies in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing Communication and Digital Media. For the past 2 years, he has been instrumental in the further development of the podcast series “WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH” at GERMANTECH, which he also enriches with his experience from his own podcasts. He also gained excellent knowledge in graphic design as well as video production in early years and delivers strong creative ideas and solutions in these areas. With his contemporary understanding of social media content design as well as his ideas for new content, he convinces companies, startups and educational institutions alike.

Benjamin Rohé

Founder & Chairman of the Board

Benjamin Rohé is an entrepreneur who co-founded a public company amongst other startups and worked in the tech, renewable energy, digital space since 1997. He started his first company at the age of 17. Benjamin has been investing time and money into startups throughout Europe since 2007. He has given talks and lectures at different european universities as well as at various european startup and economic conferences. Those include the Economic Forum, Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, Maastricht University, Center for Digital Technology & Management (Munich), European School of Management and Technology (Berlin) and the Zeppelin University where he also helped to create a investment fund for startups at the same university.
In 2011 his business angel investment activities became more structured by forming angelfund.vc and bringing in a advisory board of industry experts. Benjamin also served as a Partner in the Venture Capital Funds of Redalpine Venture Partners AG in Switzerland. He is an accredited investor by the European Investment Fund (EIF – EAF). In 2015 Benjamin founded GERMANTECH in Berlin.

Oliver Clasen

Co-Founder & Boardmember

After completing his training as a banker, Oliver studied business administration at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, combined with various internships in Toronto and New York, among other places. His career started as an assistant to the management of Dresdner Bank Investmentgruppe (DIT/dbi). Portfolio management tasks were followed by management functions in institutional asset management. From 2008 to 2011, Oliver was, among others, responsible for the institutional client business in Germany as Managing Director of Cominvest and Allianz Global Investors Group. Since 2012, Oliver has been working as a founder, investor and mentor in Frankfurt/Main and Berlin.
