What is the GLOBAL STARTUP PROGRAM?

The Global Startup Program, in its 2nd Edition, is promoted by the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to enable entrepreneurs and startups new market opportunities. Startup Programs take place in various countries such as Germany, allowing entrepreneurs and startups from Italy to receive educational mentoring, innovation training and market entry and support to further build and strengthen EU wide and international economic bonds.

As a consultant we team up with a few very important industrial groups, tipping them off about process optimization, internationalization and new market scouting, in Italy and abroad. In this regard, we are looking for some local companies which could be distributors or strategic partners for us and our represented companies, mainly in the field of sanitization (Covid and other viruses and germs), power utilities automation and critical communications, railways in general (rolling stock and others).

E-sier s.r.l. develops easy-to-use solutions, based on cutting-edge technologies, to cyber security problems. E-sier’s main product is called Doc.notch, a management and monitoring system for preserving confidentiality and integrity of classified digital documents. It addresses a call to balance two different needs: the obligation to share information and the exigency to protect them. Extremely customer-friendly, it doesn’t require any additional software or plugin to be installed by the user/recipient.

Doc.notch Digital Rights Management system works also offline and it encloses a monitoring system that automatically sends alerts based on illegitimate access attempts. Doc.notch is not a cloud-based system, meaning that our customers keep all information within their framework without relying on outer providers. Therefore it appears to be very useful in the exchange with external stakeholders, such as partners, legal firms, consulting companies and former employees.

The idea behind Ecomate originates in 2016 from an intuition of its founder, Alan Gallicchio, who saw sustainability as becoming key in the way companies were run. With this in mind, Alan started building Ecomate with the vision of making sustainability accessible to all companies, building a digital platform that aims to become the European reference point for assessing and improving corporate sustainability and generate positive impact across the economy and society.

Inspired by Alan’s vision, numerous consultancy firms offered to contribute pro-bono and joined the Ecomate scientific committee. Government grants, startup competitions helped to fund hundreds of Beta tests with SMEs so as to design a future-proof product that was prototyped in 2017.

In May 2019 Ecomate S.R.L is officially incorporated and starts getting pre-orders on its 2 core products from both SMEs and corporates.

In 2020 Ecomate raises €200,000 pre-seed funding from a group of experienced Angel Investors. The capital is invested in R&D and in creating the team (below). With 2 products being released in Q4 2020, a pipeline of 5 to be rolled out in H1 2021, the ambition to expand in other European markets and a plan to grow the team, Ecomate will be requiring further capital.

EcoSteer is an IoT and Blockchain software startup for data ownership and monetization. Based on end-to-end encryption and smart contracts, EcoSteer US-patented Data Ownership Platform (DOP) is a data sharing governance layer that decentralizes data access control, giving it back to data owners, who have full control over third party access to their data and are compensated for data sharing. DOP supports GDPR-compliant, decentralized corporate data streams marketplaces, allowing energy and mobility companies – EcoSteer’s initial target sectors – to invite selected partners to access IoT customer data in compliance with privacy laws, generating new revenues while involving customers into the data value chain.

Groovin is an AI software management platform for online and offline events and memberships. Groove aims to offer an all-in-one online communication and management services, from event and team management to marketing and customer’s affiliation processes, to build and grow communities.

Groovin is intercepting new needs and anticipating innovative combinations bringing newly customer experiences to life, increasing engagements , driving revenues, measuring performances and leveraging power of community’s datas, through online registration, digital payment, check in, flexible membership bundles, gamification and post networking!

Groovin’s plan is born as a response to the lack in the market of satisfying needs for the decentralization of the organizational process of online and offline events of a very large ever-increasing number of third sector’s organizations that need an organizational setup.

Mensior: Value My Brain – Smart Helmet

An advanced algorithm, connected with a standard safety helmet, that analyses mental workload and can prevent in advance distress or waning attention status. A straightforward solution to reduce workplace accidents for risky job categories, an easy and comfortable appliance with endless possibilities of application.

Our current main areas of focus:

– Big plants workers operating in risky situations: Value My Brain can be classified as a Personal Protective Equipment. Our device collects and interprets brainwaves in noisy environments without any support by a professional; our software solution is designed to robustly capture and transmit brain signals in real workplace environments; our distinctive algorithm analysed the series of information tracked, sets up the right thresholds for alerting and provides warning to both the worker and the supervisor in charge of safety measures to be applied.

– E-gaming: Value My Brain can be easily applied to existing gaming headsets and provide alerts and statistics on brain performances while playing.

Stonize is the 1st fintech use case in Europe selected by the ISO Technical Committee on Blockchain and DLT (ISO/TC307).

Securitisation financial practice could be a valid alley but due to its high operational complexity it is poorly accessible, especially to SMEs. Indeed, it requires strict KYC/AML procedures, and extensive assets profile data acquisition and contracts management. Besides, regulators and investors demand for rigorous assets performance reports to help informed decision making.

With a unique combination of blockchain and digital identities technologies, Stonize puts securitisation at the reach of enterprises and fosters adoption by investors thanks to a powerful digital workflow that makes operations 10x faster and enhances data integrity.
